I have thought about this so many times in the past. If I think back I can easily name off the people that have influenced me, people that have undoubtedly left a legacy. Great Marines I have had the pleasure of working with, church leaders, even people when I was so young I can only remember their face and the words of wisdom they gave me. Do these people realize the impact they made? Do they look back and wonder if they ever really made a difference? Did I get through to anyone? Did all that hard work every really improve the workplace?

I agree with striving to leave a legacy, we must keep the best intentions at all times. We shouldn't leave a egocentric legacy. I think that if we focus on the development of others and the improvement of our profession our legacy will be inevitable.

There's a good plugin for Wordpress that makes the backend a little more friendly to a mobile browser: mobileadmin

You need this plugin for WordPress called WPPhone that gives you a great, powerful-but-simple admin interface from a cell phone browser! It rocks! Tiny, fast downloads, plugin control, comment control, etc. It looks even better supposedly on an iPhone but it still is quite sweet on my Treo 650 with Blazer default browser.
